I think we were all wrong on that.
Now we just need to re-adjust how and what we collect based on these new prices, the new demand, and in some ways new items coming to the market that has not been seen in years (from long time collectors that are taking a profit on their collections)

We have always said that a piece of cardboard has the intrinsic value of the heat it puts off if it's burnt. So that is where we are if all things go to hell in a handbag. And therefore larger cards are intrinsically worth more, all ingredients being equal.

I bet this one would put off some heat.

I don't think it will impact them directly, as there aren't very many Russians and Ukrainians who collect prewar. I could see some other event impacting prices, but I've been saying for a couple of years now that the market is due for a correction. Eventually I'll be right!

Cards would become tinder and all the important items will be memorabilia based. Investment advantage to anything that is both aesthetically attractive and also functional.
You should be able to drink soup out of your baubles, and also enjoy a nice herbal tea...or whiskey, whilst awaiting the end of the world. ![]()
