I am still attached to Jacklitsch; some deep divin'-back story projects yet. But, Hughes is ready to fly the coop. Interesting tid-bit on "Salida" Tom Hughes: He was to the 1914 Miracle Braves, kinda like what Sutcliffe was to the '84 Cubs. Hughes was acquired late in the season; stepped up to help them catch McGraw's Giants; beat the Cubs to clinch. He wasn't eligible for the World Series roster but was still voted a winning share by the players. Ben "I love baseball history backstory; especially when it involves cards." |
