Good afternoon,
I recently acquired from Jim Palmer's ex-wife a leather-bound book that was presented to him by the Orioles when he retired. The calligraphy in the book is all hand drawn and the entire book is made to look like a medieval manuscript. It includes his World Series and LCS stats, as well a listing of the dates and his line from each of his 268 regular season wins. What an amazing book. I imagine the story behind acquiring the book is just as amazing. Very nice and congratulations!

Hey Mike....nice pickup!....September 1st 1985 would have been Jim Palmer Day @ Memorial Stadium (I have photos somewhere)
Over the weekend I acquired this game used Matt Weiters batting helmet that was worn in a 2010 TBTC game in Tampa: ![]() ![]()

(Emphasis added.)
Doesn't that just say it all about how such a cool, personal piece found it's way into the marketplace. Ugh.

I just heard from Bill this morning that former Orioles pitcher Mike Adamson has passed away.
Adamson pitched in 11 games for the Orioles over three seasons (1967-69). He sharied Topps & O-Pee-Chee rookie cards with Merv Rettenmund in 1969. Here are a few additional items of Mike Adamson. 1967-1969 Team Issued Postcard and Mel Bailey Postcard 196769 Postcards 01 - Copy.JPG Mel Bailey 01 - Copy.JPG Team Issued 8x10 Photo Adamson, Mike 1 - Copy.jpg |

I was excited to pick up what I believe to be a previously unknown team issued postcard of Brooks Robinson. A few Orioles postcard collectors and I believe it is from 1990. The Orioles printed a bunch of B&W postcards at the end of 1990 and the Robinson matches the size, format and style of those cards.
While I'm not 100% sure it's a team issue, I'm including it with my team issued postcards. SCAN0585.JPG |

No. It is blank backed, as opposed to the color postcards that usually have a printed back.

Greetings. I have about 30 extra 1961 and 16 or so 1962 Orioles Baltimore News Post (BNP) scrapbook cards. The downside of my extra scrapbook cards is they are glued on a sheet of construction paper back to back. I did my best to cut around them so they can appear in a binder and you can see both sides. I tried to separate one but damaged the card. I am not interested in selling. I would prefer to trade for missing 1960, 1961, 1962 and 1963 BNP. I am short 1 for 61, 5 and 13 for 1962 and 1963, respectively. I am missing 50 for 1960.
Here is my list of shortages…send me your list if interested along with your list of extras willing to trade. 1960 - 10 on hand so missing 50 (let me know if you have any…can provide list) 1961 - missing Hal Brown 1962 - missing Cosgrove, Hall, Ward and Williams 1963 - missing Aparico, Barber, Bertania, Breechen, Brown, Etch, Hall, D. Johnson, Lau, McNally, Narum, Brooks, Starrette Email me at charles.strite@yahoo.com if interested in trading. Charlie Strite Last edited by Chstrite; 06-12-2022 at 04:12 PM. |

I don’t check the tread as much as I should, but love some of the GU pickups you’ve acquired. I really need to get at least one item Adam Jones related one day.
