My Value Modern submission that arrived at PSA on 2/8/21 and was entered on 4/3/21 shipped back to me on 4/29/22.

I have a Value Vintage submission that arrived at PSA on 3/11/21 and was entered on 4/22/21 is still in grading. I hope it moves to assembly any day now.

My vintage sub mentioned above just moved into Assembly today (7/11). I'd say my "any day now" on 6/1 was a tad optimistic. Interested to see how long the order sits in Assembly. It's only 11 cards, although not sure that matters.

The wait time on either is much better than a PSA submission. The payback...debatable. Time will tell.

Grades popped on this sub today. Arrived at PSA 3/11/21, checked in 4/22/21. Assembly on 7/11/22 and now grades on 8/8/22.

So, not fast.

The good news is that the grades are actually better than I'd expected, so there's something.

Pop one open for me! I'm going to go against the norm and say that I'm actually happy with my grades, and a few are higher than I expected.

I'll share pics and stories on the appropriate monthly pickup thread when they arrive.

Good for you! That seems to be an increasingly rare experience these days, at least with PSA and SGC...

Yes!!! If ya ask either of the grading companies they will tell you nothing has changed and they are grading the same for years and that it is all due to the submitters' expectations.

.." higher than I expected ".....?? ---: no one on here has used those words for a PSA grading in more than five years . ; please don't wait until September 1st to share the return of these miracles . Thanks from all of us.

I won't wait for September. The cards should ship tomorrow, so after a quick 3,000 trip they should be here. I'll take some photos and share in the post-war pickup thread.

Sneak peak...one of the cards, I traded for when I was about 14 (I'm 46 now) from a local dealer who took a big pile of "modern" (at the time) stuff back. In retrospect, I think he was so happy to see a kid really wanting a vintage card that he cut me some slack. And now that card is in a PSA 3 holder, preserved so I can tell that story for a couple decades.

A couple others were OC and I was going to grade with qualifiers hoping for a 6(OC) or 7(OC). In the time since I subbed, PSA stopped doing qualifiers...but the cards all graded straight 6's.
