The Founding Fathers were sitting around a table sometime in 1776, working on the constitution. It had been a long day.
Father1: Whew! It's getting rather warm in here, isn't it?
Father2: Shall I open the window?
Father1: No, that's alright. I'll just take off my jacket, and roll up my sleeves.
Father2: Hey, that's a good idea. Why don't we include that in the constitution?
Father1: What? That we're allowed to take our jackets off and roll up our sleeves while at work?
Father2: Yeah, but that doesn't sound very smooth. How about "Everyone shall have the right to bare arms?"

Well you know what they say. If you don't think about it, it makes sense.

The next day, while they were taking a break, James Madison was using the outhouse when Thomas Jefferson accidentally walked in on him. Madison said, "Hey, I have a right to privacy....."

But for whatever reason, they decided not to include that in the Constitution.

can increase pay for teachers with guns.....if you ask the students like this video they will all say they feel safer with their teachers with guns

i would submit a teacher (who know their students very well) would do more to risk their lives for students than law enforcement.

They will “all say they feel safer with their teachers with guns”? Um no. There’s a reason the vast majority of parents whose kids have been gunned down call for sensible restrictions on access to guns than they do for weaponized teachers. This is an issue where it may be better if older people without actual kids in the schools have less of a say in the matter.

- I'm not entirely sure these people are in the right state of mind to make sound, educated, emotionless decisions. Maybe we should let these families grieve instead of constantly throwing them in front of the media.

- You mean people who came from a more respectful society should have less say in a matter that encompasses respect - for firearms, for each other, for themselves?

More respectful? Where does that judgment come from? I’m not saying whether I agree or disagree but there are many that would disagree and thank the fact that we have tried to evolve from some pretty bad ways of treating each other in the past. Seems like a pretty big take to have - wondering what is your basis for saying it.

disagree, the vast majority wish there to be some weaponized teachers at least for now..perhaps a few talking heads on TV on stations you watch may share what you stated.

I am about as pro gun as it gets but I can't imagine having school teachers with guns. I will admit I don't have the answer but arming teachers is not it.

This is right.

When these school shooting incidents happen, the first response is always to call for help (weaponized good guys.) It's common sense. And yet, there are people who simultaneously recognize this obvious fact, but insist it's a terrible idea to pre-emptively have weaponized good guys already trained, familiar with the building, and on site.

I doubt that’s true. Don’t have a poll. Can’t say for sure of course. Going off the same sense of the situations as are you.
