Top Gun Maverick continues to soar. I'm somewhat disappointed, because per previous Paramount timelines, this movie should have been available to stream yesterday. However, they are clearly milking this movie for everything its worth in theaters, and they should. It's a movie theater movie with how it was made.
I pre-ordered the 4k UHD version of the movie. Looking forward to seeing how it translates to the small screen, but nonetheless thrilled. A huge part of what makes this movie so great to me is how it was made. I've watched so many behind the scenes videos and interviews, along with reaction videos from TopGun pilots. I don't know if this movie will ever be replicated in how it was made, and that alone makes it iconic. GOODNESS GRACIOUS GREAT BALLS OF FIRE!
