I just had 3 separate scammers reach out after posting about wanting e107 HOFers. They all had what I'm looking for at low prices. Doesn't take long to see through their shtick.

They will almost always give you another email address to contact them (or their buddy) and will go silent when you ask for net54 or hobby references.

In a community that's been around as long as net54, I can't see these guys getting away with much. Just be careful guys!

I have now gotten 4 different PMs for 4 different WTB posts. They are from two different “people”, neither of whom have a single post, stating “hey buddy I got what your looking for, email me at …..”. It’s clearly a scam. Honestly, if you get taken by one of these guys, that’s on you. Do a tiny bit of sue diligence and use your head.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned this little card in B/S/T.

I feel like Leon is working overtime with some of these characters that are joining the board, attempting to scam people!

Yea, but having received 4 different scam emails/messages, and having read this thread and heard other’s experiences, I can tell you that (at least in my experience) it is very obvious the email is a scam. It smells fishy from jump. Thus, even if scammers get through, they should have zero success.

First, the message will seem very odd- like “I got what you need, email me at”….. and there may be a picture but it will likely seem very wrong, like a psa T3 Cobb

Second, if you check, the “user” will have either just joined, had zero posts, or both. And if they have posts, they are likely few and all on BST.

Third, if you still can’t tell it’s a duck (despite its quack and walk), just ask Leon or post on this thread or somewhere else for a referral or two.

Sorry if I missed this in a previous post but has anybody been scammed by a user with 50+ posts and a join date of over six months ago?

Thanks

Bob

Or give one of your kids your POA.
