Not only comfy shoes, but in the past I have bought Dr Sholes inserts - I think last time I actually bought two pairs and doubled up on them.

all great ideas

1- for sure comfortable shoes
2- definitely note the tables you are interested in .. easy to get lost where they were
3- I'd agree if you see something you want and its fair ... get it ... it could be gone when you come back

1A - have fun .. my 5th national ... bringing the wife again .. hope to meet a few folks from here ..

I would say, go for as many days at the show as you can. There is so much stuff, and so many tables, it is almost impossible to see everything.
As always, the best deal is the thing that everybody overlooked. You don't also want to be the one that overlooked it.
