Very cool!!

Here's a low end pickup for me...a little tray with SF landmarks. I liked it because the "stole" the Candlestick Park picture from a ubiquitous 1960's postcard.

Scorecard from the first year of the National League, 1876. The game features Chicago and Boston. Notice the different color schemes under each Chicago player's name. These were the cap color(s) of each player that were used to identify the player. This was the idea of Albert Spalding, Chicago's player/captain. The cap idea was abandoned later in the season when the team went to solid blue caps.

Gary - that is a very cool scorecard. congrats.

I picked this up in the most recent REA. I was right on the verge of not bidding, but boy am I glad I did.

I like large sized stuff, this one is 33 x 21 inches visible dimensions, and amazing beyond description in person.

No idea where I'm going to put it though, hahaha.

Finally landed my white whale. I’ve been after this cabinet for years and the timing and funds were finally in tune. Great team that went 90-25. Most of the players were in the Old Judge set and I’m going to try for those cards too.

Wow. That is spectacular and pretty rare I imagine. Congrats.

Thanks Mark! I’m a real happy camper right now. Yes it’s very rare. There’s two versions of this team known one being a horizontal version. This is the best of the two though.

Clint,
Fabulous acquisition! That it's permanent home is in Kansas makes it extra special. Good luck chasing down the OJs of these players. Jimmy Macullar I recognize from my days doing Boston research. He was a teammate of fellow OJ subjects John Morrill, Alex Mckinnon and Yank Robinson on a great Boston youth team.

Thanks Spec! I don’t think it will be too difficult finding the OJ’s, just getting them at a decent price will be the struggle. I have Gunson and Hoover already so 8-9 more to go. Bug Holliday played with the team as well but isn’t pictured so I need to get him also.
