And it looks like Peter Nash wrote the introduction. There isn't a lesser credible person I know of, although some of what he says is probably true. As Mike O'Keefe once told me, to paraphrase, 1/3 is true, 1/3 is false and 1/3 is completely made up. Pick and choose.

That said, I have no reason to believe The Ty Cobb Museum isn't 100% credible.

SCP Auctions did modify their description of the dentures to remove reference to Ty Cobb Museum as it requested. But, unlike Goldin Auctions last year, they did not remove the dentures from the auction. Instead, they put up the receipt of loan that the owner got from the Cooperstown Hall of Fame Museum as proof of provenance.

Within a day or two of the auction opening I sent questions on several of the advertising pieces that didnt have dimensions in the listings. I was getting responses within the hour from Dillon Kohler saying he was sorry the sizes weren't posted and he provided them to me on each piece I had inquired about. I checked the fantasy Gehrig Ken Wel piece over the next couple of days to see if they were going to at least let viewers know this is a fantasy piece as opposed to their 1930s notation only. My email to tell Dillon it was not authentic and only a fantasy piece, as opposed to a reproduction(with net54 link where this was discussed) was met with crickets.

Within the last week the wording......
"This sign is often reproduced but this is the ORIGINAL version of a very popular sign featuring the Lou Gehrig model glove."
