I was there, too. It was mobbed.

Kind of inexplicable that John Broggi and the Berkuses assured us for years --since 2006 in Anaheim--that they couldn't have a National west of the Mississippi because (ready?): no dealers will go to the West Coast and venues won't book years in advance and Vegas isn't a sports town and whatever other ridiculous excuses popped into their heads.

Those guys had just one reason: they liked free venues. Turns out that not many venues felt the same.

Edited to add: only show with higher attendance than this year in AC? Anaheim in 1991. When you can't break an attendance record that's stood for 31 years, maybe it's time to have another National there.
