I agree with Dave. It’s never been my understanding that PayPal considers it abuse to do this in moderation. They’re absolving themselves of responsibility if anything goes wrong and it costs them nothing to process it, so they use it as the carrot to get you into their system. Tons of companies and financial tools do this; some features are free to attract you into the platform and keep you active, while others are the revenue centers. They don’t want people running full fledged businesses on F&F but they have never even tried to stop this in decades.
Whether you should purchase items without protection is another question, but PayPal does not seem to care or have a problem with it. Now, as a PYPL shareholder, please use G&S for everything you ever buy and run all large transactions through it. Please.
