That is my theory as well after seeing the inconsistencies with the 2nd check.

This is a good theory. Although the numeric amount was certainly filled in by Cobb. The little loop on the 5 in 500 is a perfect match (and likely written amount as well, IMO).

Yeah. The little loop matches. But that's all. The slant is totally different. I stand by my "theory."
