I like casinos. A two hour drive to see a card show and play some cards. Sure. A two hour drive to see just a show. 4 hrs RT in car. No thanks.

Very nice selection of vintage and pre-war.

Some great dealers (Collector Connection and Baggar’s stood out) and some real knuckleheads.

Diverse crowd, regarding age, gender, and marijuana usage.

Great big space with plenty of tables.

No cow-bell ringing or morons screaming into a microphone.

All in all, it was a card show…not a corporate “event.” I’ll be going back.

I thought this was the case with every card show within the same year or two? At least for pre war... The same schlubbs lugging around their scratched up top loaders and cases, throwing them out sloppily on a table and hoping the crowd is different from the last show.

The new location is only about 10 minutes away from the old location with the casino, and depending on where you are coming from, you might have to go right past the casino to get to the new location. I know I did, so stopping at the casino would not have been too hard if I had the time on Friday night.

There was more than one event this weekend

There's a ComicCon and a SneakerCon in the same building, but there's plenty of parking.

Want to bet some of the smoke came from at least one of those events?

That’s odd, because when I did Google maps from my phone it seemed like a hour difference. Guess I messed that up.

I hear you. However, I'm less than half an hour away from this show. For me, it's a quick drive each way.
