crazy stuff happens during contracts.. ....theres a lot of money to be made outside a contract as well when its an elite talent involved...if you think contract is all income he will ever make and is locked in to that maybe you didnt realize that as well..

right money never sleeps, i would bet most of the star athletes made more money on endorsements than salary.

Multiple websites would tell you that Mike Trout is only making between 2.5 and 3 million dollars in endorsements against a 37 million dollar contract.

Post 74 specifies another contract. There won’t be another big contract for Trout at age 40. He can barely stay healthy and active at 30.

Also endorsement deals go way beyond playing career and are the main income post career that can span 30 years..

Steph Curry and Lebron both make more in endorsements then salary..even if dont make as much in endorsements then salary...still making an extra millions of dollars is still incentive to perform as well..proving my point yet again...money never sleeps...
