I am looking to purchase it and wondering if it's pressed.

I am going with not pressed but since I cannot offer an explanation for what is going on with the reverse, not sure I am going to be convincing. I think it is best to pass when in doubt. Good eye, regardless!

I'm not seeing anything to indicate it was pressed. I haven't seen a white "glow" before though. It's a '52 and I've seen a lot of weird stuff over the years when people jammed them into pages and the top 1/4 inch stuck out. It appears it could be the same scenario here.
I agree with previous posts though....if you're uncertain; there are plenty of RS available that may be a more comfortable purchase.

I would say it's a weird gray area then. It's possible/probable that the graders didn't think it was pressed. We hear all the time about submitters who got cards back ungraded/rejected, usually due to 'pressing' occurring in screwdowns, so it stands to reason that the graders specifically look for those types of things.
And, I hate to say it, whether or not you think it was pressed, it does sit with (I assume) a number on the slab, so it's 'worth' just as much as any other card with the same number when it comes to selling it later on. Sort of a sad plausible deniability thing, I guess. Not saying that it's right, of course, but it is the reality of the situation.

Centering 7.5 (undergraded, for a '52 it's close to a 9) Corners 4 Edges 7 Surface 8.5......? Very perplexing. Probably will go for it and see what sgc thinks.
