when did baseball reference stop the personal sponsers

I remember people could pay a few bucks to put something on a players baseballreference page

- Boggs really liked fried chicken and was my favorite as a child- Joe T.

and Joe would pay 20 bucks for a week etc....i dont see that now or maybe i didnt really look enough

It has to be at least five years if memory serves. I sponsored several pages for various Orioles players. I think Paul Blair's page was the only one that cost me more than a couple of dollars a year.

They kept the sponsor info on player pages for awhile but it seems to have disappeared.

right why get rid of that free money for them.
