The one that always amazed me was Roy Face, in 1959, going 18-1 with 93 IP. Oh…and 10 saves.

Joey Gallo hit .199 with 38 homers in 2021.
With his 177 homers, Gallo has, by far, the most homers of any player with a career average under .200 (.199). But his BEST stat... Joey Gallo is the only player in MLB history to reach 100 homers before 100 singles. |

I recall Dan Uggla had some awful numbers ( K's and AVG) but hit enough HR's to keep him in the lineup a few times

In 1999 Vinny Castilla hit 33 HRs and drove in 102 RBIs but had an OPS+ of 84. That shows the advantages of playing half your games in Coors Field. Compare that to Adam Dunn in 2012 .204 BA 41 HRs 96 RBI but an OPS + of 114.

I played on the same Senior Little League team with Rob Deer in 1976 in Orange, CA. I hit .019 - he hit everything hard, as a 14-year-old!! Didn't strike out much back then!
