More card history needed

Taxes, eBay, PSA, PWCC, vaults, fees, charges, etc etc. Not pointing fingers at anyone. I am guilty of this as well, but to be honest, I feel like this is where the card collecting community is right now. For better or worse, there is a general card obsession with the following topics:

Card Prices
Card Grades
Card History (VCP, where did it come from)
Auction Houses and Record Sales
Are you buying, selling, or holding?

Maybe this will all calm down in the next year, but right now, these topics get the most traction/responses.

I tend to agree with others that educational threads tend to appeal to a niche group and they do not carry the same appeal as a more broadly-based subject like the state of the market or a TPG. For example, I would love to discuss variations on the E92 backs and why certain players have certain backs. But a thread like this would get 10-15 replies and then quickly drift to the 2nd page only to disappear.
