By the look of these auctions I’m gonna say it again, it sure as hell doesn’t look like the US Economy is on the break of a recession.

I'm thrilled to add this card to my WaJo collection: https://bid.robertedwardauctions.com...?itemid=126237

I'm always looking for 1916 M101s of WaJo with tough backs - hint! hint!

Maybe in the past, but I know many REA buyers and they are not that category.

I picked up 3 Cubs Plow Boys at 25% below where they traded 5 years ago, so I was pretty happy…

Green Cobb from REA arrived today. I'd like to think I got it at a reasonable (or at least not unreasonable) price.

Perhaps REA auctions can be added to some index of leading indicators.

Not baseball but vintage, finally added a Vezina C55. These can look rough, thought this was a great looking card with sharp features and a crisp back as well. Just need one more card for the set now.

I managed to grab the Holsom Bread Sisler for my George card run. Also the Stengel Fleishmann. Modern basketball continues to slide while vintage baseball, especially prewar, is in the spotlight, if you can afford it.

Ha, for sure, same for me. I was watching so many cards, bid on a few, but only won 2:

Tom Barker Joe Jackson PSA 6
https://bid.robertedwardauctions.com...?itemid=126179

Polo Grounds Joe Jackson PSA 9
https://bid.robertedwardauctions.com...?itemid=126185

Both are improvements to current cards in my collection. So I'll be soon selling my PSA 4 Tom Barker and PSA 6 Polo Grounds in BST if anyone is interested.

Was thinking the same thing, was in on a few but didn't get any, went to bed late night and lost out on one of last items bid on.

But great pick ups everyone, the vintage market does not seem to be slowing down.

This was the first REA auction that I didn't think was insane at the end. The stuff I had bid on was over soon after 11. I don't know if it was because of all the other auctions going on or people were being conservative because of economic uncertainty. I am still very optimistic about the market going up, but this was the first sign of any weakness. Just my view from how crazy REA has been for me the last ~7 years.

I think it’s a function of the new lot by lot closing procedures, people are adjusting and sanity is prevailing, you can finish bidding on most lots early.

You both may be right. My impression is that there was an odd mix of soft and very strong prices.

For ones saying prices were down I was blown away by this price!!!

For a Ex-Mt Set with only 4 Cards Graded !!!

With the stars coming down in 6-8 Grades in 65 Topps I have no idea how this went this high.
