James, I remember "The Duke of Flatbush" hitting a towering HR over the Schaffer Beer sign at a game At Ebbets with my Dad.

Sorry for the post-war contribution, but I always liked how the 1955 Topps Doubleheaders look together (not my photo or cards).

Default Inside Nicollet Park 1933

... I like the art deco stylized " S" in the billboard for Steel Ice ?
Not a lot of Fats Fothergill cards out there. He died very young in the late thirties. The Jack Hallet took the longest to find. These are Wheaties postcards.

This Sanella Ruth card has a little 'Hotel Co..?' advertising in the background.

Looks like an early 20s pinstripe uniform, pre-Yankee Stadium, so it must be the Polo Grounds. Could it be Hotel Congress, now named the Congress Hotel? There is also a Concorde Hotel, but it used to be named the Fitzpatrick, so I don't think that is it. I don't know when advertising stopped on the Polo Grounds walls, but I have a 1938 Giants team photo, and there was wall advertising then.
