Default 1951 TOPPS Connie Mack's All Star Team....show us what you have of these gems.

One of TOPPS first BB card issues represents Connie Mack's All-Star team. Composed of 8 famous Player's, 2 famous Pitchers
and Manager Mack. These die-cut cards are tough to find.; nevertheless, let's do complete this set with all the eleven HOFers.

I will start this show with my modified Babe Ruth card.

Grover Cleveland Alexander
Gordon Stanley Cochrane
Eddie Collins
James Collins
Lou Gehrig
Walter Johnson
Connie Mack
Christopher Mathewson
George Herman Ruth
Tris Speaker
Honus Wagner

It is rare thing indeed that I can participate in a postWW2 thread, as I don't really collect much of it, and this set contains all retired players, which I like to avoid, but here is an Eddie Collins I stumbled over years ago and somehow failed to remove from my collection.

They are kinda neat...I think I like the looks of these cards better when their tops have been removed, like this one and the Ruth Ted showed.

Default Walter Johnson

I am away from my (relatively new) CCD scanner and haven't had a chance to rescan this one yet, but here is (a blurry) Walter:

Well, I went into the vaults to look for some contributions because this is one of my favorite sets.

Can't find a one as my wife was organizing again.

She will toss boxes of cards in the deepest cavern of storage and move outdated college textbooks from the early 90's to the front that are apparently super important. I find boxes containing 5 figures of cards all the time in rando spots. She just cannot comprehend the value, so I have taught my son as much as he will absorb.

So anyways, wish I could add...love that you brought these up Ted!

Ramble over.

We had four graded between 5 and 6 in our auction a few years back. Wish I could've bought them! Love these.

Ted---I am still permanently stuck on 8 for the 1951 Topps Current All Stars, other than 3 fantasy card substitutes I also have both version of all the 51 Teams cards. I actually like all 5 of the 1951 Topps sets

I have a low-end set...about a PSA 3 average, #10 on the Registry.
This is probably my nicest one.

I think 8 is acceptable for a set that 90% of collectors have never seen in real life, lol.

The only complete set I knew of was broke up by REA years ago. I would guess you are missing Stanky, Konstanty, and Robin Roberts same as Bob?
