José Marti and Baseball, today January 28 on the anniversary of the birth of Our Apostle, I will write something about his relationship with this sport, several writings are known that appear in several volumes of his Complete Works, Marti lived permanently for many years in United States, mainly in the 1880s, I show you a photo of the Cabañas 1909 Post Cards collection, and next to Agustín "Tinti" Molina, in 1889, in Key West, Marti was present at a ball game between the team Cuba and another from the United States, and Tinti hit a home run and the Cuban team won. At the end of the game, the apostle asked to go see the Macanazo player (that's what Marti called the home run) and congratulated him on the victory of the Cuban team because to his performance at bat. In the other photo you will see a page from the book La Esfera y el Tiempo, its author Dr. Félix Julio Alfonso, on several pages he writes about the different articles by Marti that appear in his Complete Works, in the other photo we see Francisco Poyo, member of the Cuban Baseball Hall of Fame, son of José Dolores Poyo, founder of the Cuban Revolutionary Party together with José Marti, and the other photo is from an interview that appeared in the press on the occasion of his exaltation to the Hall of Fame, Francisco Poyo was part of the Cuban team in the 1889 game that Marti witnessed

Default Babe Ruth 1930 Massaguer

Massaguer was one of the great caricatures in Cuba, his drawings appeared on the covers of the "Carteles" magazines of which he was director, I show a cartoon made of Babe Ruth in 1930.

I show the 7 balls signed by the players of the Cuban team that won in the Caribbean Series from 1949, these photos correspond to an interview about the different Series that they did to me in my house for a documentary that was shown on the channels of television in Cuba in 2017

Default Cigarros PUNCH 1910 Almendares

"PUNCH" 1910 Cigars. In the 40 years that I have been a researcher and collector, this is the rarest card I know of from that collection, in Volume 2 of my Specialized Catalogs I give details about it.

In the individual cards of the "Punch Cigars" collection they have a frame on all four sides, in the card that I showed with all the photos of the Almendares players, note that they are the original photos of the players without the frame, and the frame black covers all four sides of the set, now I show a card of José Mendez.
