It’s actually a shame it isn’t vintage. It’s maybe the best Orioles logo. But as Mark believes, it was never used in color on a full-size pennant. Here it is on a 3/4 size. Trench used a rather ugly blackbird logo instead for many years.
Also interesting about that oriole is that it is among the logos on that 1956 kids book that I post ad nauseum. Most of the other logos were WGN and the Reds was Keezer. Chisox and Phillies were not used. Last edited by thetahat; 03-15-2023 at 09:35 PM. |

OK, did anyone in this group have faster fingers then me? Was in the middle of driving and trying to make an offer on this and then it was gone. Think the listing lasted maybe 15 min.

Don’t know what the offer was but I’d say $175 or so was about right given the condition (cracking, torn tip). You think more? It is a tough WGN pennant. I’d guess $300 in good condition for sure. I love how they have so many dated pennants.
You’ll recall there is a Tigers seller who has flipped after making initially undisclosed repairs … keep an eye out. Last edited by thetahat; 03-16-2023 at 02:05 PM. |

Rob,
I noticed that along with the 39 tiger pennant. I need both for my collection and trying to see if he will do a package deal. |

The ‘52 looks odd in the sleeve. Could be trimmed. If you consider, ask for length, should be a hair over 28” +/-

Yeah... I would ask before buying. But he did mention a piece of the top tassel was gone, so I'm guessing he'd have mentioned a problem with the tip if there was one.
