Chris, I love that Joe Abreu cap! I recently picked up a cap he wore with the Newark Bears, likely from the same year as yours.
Andy, I have no idea what the story is with your early Reds bat, but I used to own it. Here's a Reds cap from the 1960s made by McAuliffe that I recently picked up. It appears be some kind of prototype ... By the way, who else is having a good time this summer watching the Redlegs' youth movement blossom? I've been having a blast watching the highlights!
