Default Is this pin vintage or a repro?
The scratches and light staining on the front seems to say yes but the clean back is giving me pause. It measures 3.5" in diameter.

I always thought that shiny safety pin style back was first used in the early 1970s.

I stopped into an online auction to see if they had any sports memorabilia (they didn’t), but I got a message from someone in the auction who had these 1956 Topps pins. Some are a little less than perfect, but the price was right so I grabbed them.

I have two of Al Smith, so if someone would like to do a trade of a comparable pin, feel free to reach out.

A buddy of mine just snagged this for $16.99 BIN. The seller left a lot of money on the table.
