Just your standard, run of the mill antique show? I’m not sure you’d see an assortment that good at the National!

They did actually have a ton of nice Pinbacks there. Lots of big vintage Pin assortments at multiple booths. The show was much bigger this year, as they opened up a few halls that were previously never used.

I picked up one unusual (what I believe to be rare) Pirates Pinback, and may post it later to get some feedback form the experts here.

It looked pretty incredible. I wasn’t able to go so I’m living vicariously through the photos.

Today’s pick ups…

The Musial was a gift from my mom who found it at the large antique show in Northern Virginia today.

The USC Rose Bowl pin and the McDonalds NBA Hoops pin were super inexpensive finds from a local antique store today.

Quick pickup from the National.... I had not seen this Pirates Pinback before, and was hoping it might be somewhat scarce (I didn't pay a lot, so won't be too disappointed if it's common). I don't see any examples on ebay, which may be a good sign.

Questions for the Pin Gurus....

1. Is this a pretty rare one?
2. How old is it ... Late 40s? Early 50s?

It's an uncommon image of the Pirates Mascot, that I hadn't seen. Thanks in advance for any help with this one.

Really great looking pin - congrats on the pick up! Never seen that logo before…

For what it’s worth, I’ve never seen this particular pin before. Have seen a Pirate with a knife in his teeth, but not with the hat. Nice pickup.

Something about that Pittsburgh font just says 1930s to me.

I’m more inclined to say the 1950s.
