Yes, it's the ultimate combo for a vintage pennant collector. Very difficult to find dead-ball era shots of people in the grandstands sporting pennants that are clearly identifiable.

I agree with Mark in that I thought the prices were pretty reasonable for a 109 year old piece of history. What's everyone's thoughts on the 1914 Braves Pennant in the same auction. I thought it was in pretty amazing condition considering it's age.

There is a crowd pic from the 1916 WS and fans holding dated Brooklyn (Robins? Superbas?) pennants … I think it was posted here. It was the NL version of the 1916 Red Sox which has surfaced in auctions. But I’ve never seen the Brooklyn outside of that picture …

Awesome pickup Gary... congrats! That one is just as nice (or even better) than the Tigers/Giants example. If a photo ever surfaces, please post it and I'll keep an eye out as well.

That's Mrs. Ed McKeever, far right, wife of Brooklyn Dodgers/Robins owner. To my knowledge, only one of these pennants survived. Look carefully: there's actually five pennants displayed. The fifth was this one, held by the third woman from the left....

Fantastic picture, Kyle. Interesting (to me) that the NL Champs pennants appear to be all white. The Red Sox versions had a left hand panel of red. Speaking of those, when I did a google search for pictures of those, I noticed one sold in 2000 for $688….one sold in 2007 for $1700….one sold in 2017 for $4200. Seeing a trend, here?
