Nice Coupons there...On Rhoades populations, as you say the MET has one online from Burdick...
www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/417937 Also, SGC's pop report shows 2 examples of Rhoades.. an SGC 3 and 1.5. GFG had a raw one that could be the SGC 1.5, or maybe it's still raw. I've had a lot of help from board members to get to 67. I still have lots of other want-lists going to keep me busy.

Rob Speaking about Doolan....my Doolan has evidence that it was glued to the outside of the carton which contained approx. 200 cigarettes of this new T-brand. My contention is that 1910 COUPON cigarettes were never packaged in the standard "10-pack" format (as most of the Tobacco products of that time). Furthermore, it's my guess that the cards with no paper loss on their backs were simply inserted within these cartons of cigarettes. Quite a number of my 1910 COUPON cards have this typical paper loss on their backs since I was able to acquire them at less cost. How many of your cards have the paper loss problem ? . ![]() ![]() ![]() TED Z x T206 Reference . |

Ted, I'm currently going through and scanning what I have for T213-1. I will get back to you on an exact count later this week. I have upgraded along the way, so most of my near set is free of back damage, but I have a lot of lower grade duplicates with all sorts of back damage. Here's a Mathewson with back damage.
I don't know very much about the origins or packing of Coupon cards, and would listen to all ideas about them.

IMO the paper loss/addition and glue residue on some of the T213-1's is the same as what is seen on many of the cards from that era that were glued in scrap books.
