The only nice thoughts I can muster about those PSA slabs are that PSA graded those early on, before they knew how Baseball Magazine photos are supposed to look. And that they wish they'd not graded those that way.
Reckon if someone trimmed down an M114 to a similar size, and then sent the newly trimmed version along with one of the previously graded in the slab Baseball Magazines, maybe someone could ask, "please grade this as you did this one already in one of your holders." Think they'd grade another? The M113s are a monster to store, and M114s aren't all that much easier. I think if all of mine were slabbed for free then they'd be better protected from handling damage, but it'd take a delivery truck to haul them to a bank's safety deposit boxes.
