.. ..The coach Bernie Bierman is the same 5 x 7 as the other 6 already shown in the thread ; the Pete Reiser is a bit shorter -- I don't know if it came that that way originally or if it was trimmed a bit by the previous owner.? The complete set of these Wheaties-sponsored Jack Armstrong Radio Program premiums is just 8 ; five hot-name baseball players , two midwest football heroes , and Patty Berg , one of the best all-around female athletes of that pre-war era ( she really was ). 1940 or 1941 is an educated guess --- I've been looking for a mailing envelope for many years. .. .. |

I have only seen a picture of this card from the Metropolitan Mueseum of Art, which is Type 1 of the "0" numbered cards which is the top picture. The Type 2 "0" numbered series is mine. I don't remember seeing at least one of these for sale recently.
