They definitely appear more modern to me. Stock looks newer and thinner than what Burke used in the late 1930's and there appears to be a graininess issue with the clarity. Anything on the backs? Perhaps early George Brace reprints? If player names are hand-printed at the tops on the back, I'll certainly recognize if they originated from Brace. George Burke images were used for the Play Ball sets and several other issues in the 1930's.
