Have to admit that it took me a few minutes to figure out what "no black outline" referred to. I had to find a normal version of the card and play "spot the difference".

I did the same thing. It was fairly apparent after reading the description. I'm so happy I'm not working on any master sets. Holy crud, I look at the final hammer and think WOW - I could have a couple cards I really wanted with what was paid for that card. But then, the person that won it must have a huge smile on their face because that must have been a HUGE hole that was finally filled. That's kind of what makes this fun.

Me3!! Took me a minute or so, to figure it out. Are there other cards with this variation in the set?

Nothing with the exact same recognition but a couple more oddballs amongst the many yellow names. This is listed in the TCDB guide on page 7

The missing loop on the 99 Twins Rookie is a neat one when compared and somewhat similar

And to think I've sat one card short of the 1974 master set for 10 or more years because I wasn't willing to pay $40 for 599 - San Diego Small Print.

Default 1969 #567 No Black Outline Variation

Pretty remarkable hammer price. The final price ended my quest for a complete master set as well. I would be targeting a PSA 9 Hank Aaron, PSA 9 Clemente or even a well centered PSA 8 Lou Brock with that amount of money. I’m not paying $500 for a PSA 1 No Black Outline that looks like it got run over by a truck. Congratulations to the lucky winner who will acquire the PSA 8 No Black Outline currently in the Heritage Auction. It’s a beautiful card and one that I would add to my collection. Unfortunately, it is well out of my price range…

The PSA 8 No Black Outline in Heritage ended up selling for $23,400.
