It's incredible the number of years he began his career with over 300 innings pitched, only to have streak interrupted by WW1! Had he not been hurt in WW1, I don't think it's crazy to think he may have been top ranked pitcher in history, or at least top 3. His numbers through age 30 1917 season are mind boggling!
