I believe the main issues with Ruth as a Brave was that he was old and overweight.

Let's have fun with stats...

'The Bambino' hit a total of 714 regular season home runs, yet only 6 of them were as a National Leaguer.

Conclusion: National League hurlers were infinitely better than their American League mound men counterparts.

Half of his NL homers came on May 25th, 1935!
