Been on eBay for close to 30 years now. I don't sell there much anymore but I have had more problems so far this year than all the others combined.

The problem buyers have changed tactics in my experience. For me all the problems came from the few that asked a lot of stupid questions before buying. Those types I just block as soon as the questions start. The last few waited until after I shipped for the stupid questions to begin. I have had a Bobblehead broken and returned. Also every piece of jewelry has had problems with the buyer.

Generally eBay sucks, but there are enough strikes of lightning (4 or 5 a year) to keep it worth looking it. Most of the established sellers of cards and memorabilia are deep deep in denial.

It’s a free country. Can do as you want. If you want to buy a type one photo at an auction for $2800 and list it the next day for $11,000, go for it. Maybe you strike gold a few times a year.

They are looking for the eBay addict. Many collectors still only use EBay. It’s crazy but if it didn’t work, they wouldn’t keep listing the cards.

Flip side is a seller can put any price on its goods. Doesn’t mean it will ever sell. But I agree. Some eBay sellers are a breed of their own
