I have a bid and a comment...
I have no familiarity with this set, but I'm 99.999% I saw this exact card on the front of some publication many years ago when I was a kid (maybe an early 90's Baseball Card Almanac??) and for some reason it always stuck out to me. Not sure if it has any relevance or was just a common card from an oddball 40's set, but we might find out here! I'll start things off with a modest $2.
