I have no clue as to identities.
Many (Basketball, Cricket, Tennis) seem to be posed shots in a random field and do not match traditional playing surfaces at all. The basketball player actually looks like he could possibly be wearing cleats even. I collect vintage basketball and oddballs, so that card appealed to me. The rarity of available copies suggest this is seemingly a condition sensitive issue likely due to it's child directed distribution channels. I have not seen any copies that were not in rough condition. They are also quite small on thinner stock, roughly 2.5" high by 1 and 6/8" wide.

I've managed to get a copy of the basketball card but had never seen the whole set.
I'd like to confirm the date so i can get the basketball card graded. PS. I'm from Australia so this is especially cool card if it turns out to be the first basketball card issued in Australia.
