Day 184 - 3 July 2024
In 1962, the All Star Game was played twice for the final time. The first game was played on July 10th in Washington, DC. Brooks was backup to Rich Rollins at 3rd and did not record a hit. The NL won 3-2. Brooks was joined by Jim Gentile and Milt Pappas. I am showing the All Star pennant, pin back, ticket, press pin and program. The other game was played on July 30th at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Brooks was the back up again behind Rollins and scored his first run after a walk. He was 0 for 1. Joining Brooks was Jim Gentile and Milt Pappas. He had 2 assists in the two games. The AL won 9-4. Today, I am showing the All Star two pennants (Red and Dark Blue), ticket, press pin, Topps PSA 8 AS Card and program. I am also showing you a 1962 AS Facsimile signed ball. |
