Default 1962 All Star Game

Day 184 - 3 July 2024
In 1962, the All Star Game was played twice for the final time. The first game was played on July 10th in Washington, DC. Brooks was backup to Rich Rollins at 3rd and did not record a hit. The NL won 3-2. Brooks was joined by Jim Gentile and Milt Pappas. I am showing the All Star pennant, pin back, ticket, press pin and program. The other game was played on July 30th at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Brooks was the back up again behind Rollins and scored his first run after a walk. He was 0 for 1. Joining Brooks was Jim Gentile and Milt Pappas. He had 2 assists in the two games. The AL won 9-4. Today, I am showing the All Star two pennants (Red and Dark Blue), ticket, press pin, Topps PSA 8 AS Card and program. I am also showing you a 1962 AS Facsimile signed ball.

Day 188 - 7 July 2024
The 1966 All Star Game was played on July 12th at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri. Brooks started going 3 for 4 to include a triple with a run. He had 4 assists in the game. The NL won 2-1. Brooks would win the game’s MVP award. Joining Brooks was Frank Robinson. Coincidentally, Brooks and Frank would both win regular season, all star game and WS MVP awards…the only two players to ever do this. I am showing you the All Star pennants, ticket, press pin and program.
