My only contribution. Adding to the other Tetelo Vargas cards.

Been keeping my eye out for a Concordia copy to pickup and I just received this one: #290 Concordia vs. Cincinnati. I was especially happy to grab it since I can't find it listed on any attempted checklist or mentioned before.

Quick question. I'm working on a project documenting cards featuring current/former/future Negro League players. I'm now looking at the 1931-32 Doble Aguila set. While some players are listed on the card fronts, others have a generic caption. But it seems that people have identified a number of these players, as a notation sometimes shows up on the SGC/PSA slab with the player's name.
Such as Martín Dihigo in: ![]() Or Tetelo Vargas in: ![]() Has there been any progress in identifying players on other, similar cards? Like: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Currently, I have my list of cards from this set which feature Negro League players listed at: https://negroleaguecards.blogspot.com

I’m far from an expert on the the sets, but as far as I know all the cards with known players (and subsequently labeled as such by PSA/SGC) are those in which it noted on the back of card. I own a handful of cards from the sets now - including the Concordia/Cincinnati card you pictured, and I don’t think I’ve come across a baseball league with as notable of players with as little information available online about it. Although I haven’t dug super deep, I’ve yet to find any box scores or complete rosters available. Funny enough, I was just thinking the other day that I needed to ask the board for any Venezuelan league resources they were aware of.

Ah, that would make sense. Of the few images I could find, many were just card fronts, so I missed that crucial detail of specific info on the backside that wasn't on the front.
