TCDB lists a slew of these Topps Company Store inserts as having been in 1988 packs.
I remember them well from 1989 and 1990 but I never saw one in the 1988 material I've opened over the years. Because the backs describe the prize as a trip to the 1989 spring training, it makes sense they were 1988 issues, but I am at a loss. Does anyone have any information on these?

Hard to believe that the 1988 Topps base set is worthy of academic study. It is the most boring set ever produced.

Actually, I think the '88 and '89 sets are, after 1983, are the best looking sets of the 1980s. I know they get a hard rap because of the overproduction, but I think it's still very nice.
