What a movie! Just watched it again a few days ago. The scene where they sing La Marseillaise chokes me up every time.

Here are some of my favorite cards that I have images of right now. Some are sentimental and some are just favorite cards. Value really has nothing to do with why they are in this picture though.

+1, it is a great movie.

I didn't get it at first, giving this a cursory glance. I thought the top left was Jack Kelly, and middle bottom was Hugh Downs.

Then I put my glasses on.

Some great cards posted.

Greg, that's an incredible story about finding your Grandpa's amazing Polar Bear cards!

Andrew, I love the rainbow of 1920 W516-1 cards. I googled "Save your tablet fronts and win a prize. L.A. Becker"

It was suspected by at least one collector Ms. Becker was a school teacher who offered this contest to her students, and that the writing has been found only on the ten cards from this series. There may be a many as 7 of each subject.
Is that the same story you have about the cards?

Hi Charles,

Yes, Ed and I have communicated many times about these cards. He has several more than I do currently and some day we plan to get together with our Becker backs to see if any of them "fit" together and can be identified as being from the same strip. He has a Peckinpaugh example and I don't (yet). And we are both on the lookout for the other two from the sheet although neither of us have ever seen one.

Thanks for the kind words. Those are some of my favorites.

Andrew
