1971 Baltimore Orioles “Best In Baseball Sign
Day 253 – 10 September 2024
Not sure the purpose of this sign. It is from 1971 reflecting back on Dave McNally’s Grand Slam Homerun in Game 3 of the 1970 WS. The sign would look a lot better without the bottom white section (Orioles vs. Oakland handwritten). At the top it says “Best in Baseball!” Below the picture of McNally touching Homeplate being congratulated by his excited and surprised teammates it says “Grand Slam Action!” with the bird and his crown. On the reverse side the Oakland Athletics laid out the locker room in hand written form of all their players and their assigned lockers. The sign is cardboard and measures 13 in X 17 in (approximately). Last edited by Chstrite; 09-11-2024 at 03:55 PM.
