Here I am coming back after some time to let you know that I recently read about some lawsuits against Ozempic. It seems there are a few health risks linked to this medication, like pulmonary aspiration, so it’s worth being careful and keeping an eye on what’s going on.

I take mounjaro
I take it slow
I get a 3 month supply-3 boxes from my insurance
If you go drugstore you only get one box
Most folks jump up after each month and that’s where I see the issue
Pluse the shortage hurt me for 6 months- had to go on metformin
Then was able to get back on it in June
Now I at the top level - 15mg
2 boxes left then I will quit and change to metformin
I have lost over 110 pounds so far
Quit sodas and ice cream
But still eat as usual but pasta is my fav and slow the process
I’m aware of stomach paralysis
But I get sulphur burps most in morning
Some gas and nausea
Just control your appetite and not pig out
Smaller portions
Good luck

I was on Ozempic for a few years but then there was a shortage a while back and i was put on Mounjaro. I have lost a lot of weight, about 70-80 lbs total. But i am a mess. I have zero strength, my arms & legs look like toothpicks. I'm 50 years old but get around like an 80+ year old. I have shoulder surgery this coming Thursday. In the back of my mind i cant help but to think that Ozempic & Mounjaro both played into my health today. Yes, it certainly helped with my A1C. I have it down to 6.0 and am now considered pre-diabetic. I weight about 145 lbs. I would not be surprised to see lawsuits in the future regarding these meds.

I asked my doctor about Ozempic. He said, "Arnold Schwarzenegger once said that 'if you're fat, just stop eating.' I agree with that. And maybe get your butt off the couch and run 5 miles a day. There are very few overweight people who run 35 miles a week."

I was offended for about a day, and then I took his advice. Will let you know how it goes.

I enjoy eating. It's one of the 3 or 4 great joys in life. The idea of taking a drug that makes me lose complete interest in food has no appeal whatsoever. And the long term ramification of these drugs really concerns me. If they work for others that's great. Not for me.

Trulicty gave me lobular Paniculitis years ago. Tumor like nodules about 8 places over the body.
Mounjaro made me hurt, and generally did not feel good, but overall more weight loss.
Ozempic for a year or so, maintaining weight, down to 215 and Hgb A1C- 6.1 so no complaints really.
They all make you irregular though. That is what the GLP are more or less designed to do, decrease peristalsis.
