On the other hand, I did just finish watching "The Comeback" on Netflix. Be nice if they could replicate what the Red Sox did to them 20 years ago. Huge long shot, I know.
I just finished watching "The Comeback" also. I thought it was really well done.

I didn't realize that the 04 Red Sox were such a jolly bunch of miscreants.

Also reminded me of why A-Rod never really got popular in New York. I had forgotten how he slapped the ball out of Arroyo's glove.

And then denied it, showing the umpire how it was supposedly part of his normal running motion.

A-Rod was an unlikeable chode, but at least he played hard and smart and was always looking for some sort of an edge (insert PED joke here). Unlike this present team, which is mostly likeable but is filled with a bunch of guys who seem to stand in the batters box and stare at 330 foot fly balls and are constantly out of position defensively.

I have a hard time deciding whether to blame it on the mostly absent coaching (Pitching coach gets a pass here, he’s done wonders with what he was handed), or the players themselves, or just the general lack of leadership.

I have confirmed that not even Frank B. has used "chode" before.

Nice to have you two stepping up and taking some of the blame.

So Verdugo, who represents the tying run, comes to plate with 2 outs in the 9th -- and people are leaving behind him.

I gotta say, that's pretty Bush League of Yankees fans. Those seats behind home plate run cost around $20,000 apparently, so probably the hedge fund bros, but still.
They all probably had babies to put to sleep or showers to take.

LOL
