Wonder if NASCAR received word in recent weeks that Allison was very close to the end. The timing of the sanctioning body finally recognizing Allison's 1971 win at Bowman Gray (N.C.) seems more than a little coincidental.

The Lorenzen with car card in the 1972 STP set gets all the hype for its legendary difficulty, but Allison's STP card is tough as well.

I was thinking the exact same thing on your first point, Eddie. And I've always agreed with the second.

Great to see you back again. It's been too long. You were the one who first made me aware of how tough Allison is in the '72 STP set.

There was a seller on here not long ago selling some 52 Topps and all were graded by SGC.
Looking at them, I thought those received favorable grades but, then I see your card, and others, and think WTF, how can there be that much disparity between graders from the same company?

I always thought SGC was far more consistent than PSA but all has been thrown out the window now.
