The same mark, you're probably aware, appeared on certain USC and UCLA pennants from the same era--both whom called the Coliseum home at that time. I believe this Rams pennant (and the more common variant sans ABC mark) was made by Trench. Now, pennants featuring the ABC Emblem & Pennant Co. maker's mark/label (like Boca's San Francisco Seals pennant) were also being made at this same time; however, to the best of my knowledge, they all featured a label and were made of sewed letter construction. So the two outfits shared the same name; but that's about it.

Hey pennant guys!! Just curious if this pennant has any value. It's 8 3/4 inches, not including tassels. There's a fold as you can see. I also have 3 pins from the tournament. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!!

The fold could easily be ironed out. I'm afraid the pennant and pins don't have much value. I'm assuming they're High School.

Long time reader, first time poster. Appreciate all of the information and displays of personal collections. Makes me want to finally get mine out of storage and onto my walls to be enjoyed.
Attached are a couple of recent pick ups. Nothing too special or rare, but will go nicely with my Cardinal's collection. |

So some people liked that vintage look from the turn of the century and were willing to pay for it, decades later.

Also, this year's world series featured a 26-man roster. To accommodate the extra name, I had to drop the manager's name off the scroll. The Day-Glo colors were hand painted using watercolors.

Thanks to Bocca for making this available to me. He found himself an upgrade, which I hope we'll see soon. I'm not really a "condition guy" to the extent some of you are, but the condition of this gave me pause. Bocca thinks, and I agree, it may have been stored for a long time under a black pennant. In the end, I bought it because there have only been three of these seen. The more common (but by no means common) version has no white paint. These are one of only two varieties of Giants pennants which show Seals Stadium (1958-59).
Question for Kyle - wouldn't the white paint necessitate an entirely different screen than the all black graphics? The all black I've shown is the "fat font." I also have one with the same font as my new acquisition. Question for you other guys - any cleaning tips at all? I tried a few things. I dipped the tip in some mild soapy water and the water immediately turned orange. When I blotted it on a white towel, it left an orange triangle. I think I'm gonna have to live with it.
