MLB combined the records for all major leagues, including the Negro leagues. That happened. Logically, you cannot make it unhappen.

I go by the actual truth of the matter, not some PC drivel. If anyone wishes for this fantasy to be their version of the truth, so be it. I refuse to play along.

It's reality. As you say, it happened. It is what it is. You can accept it or complain about it, but it's not going to change anything.

Didn’t want to start another thread so I piggybacked on this one.
Geddy Lee at The Negro Hall Of Fame.
He’s got a new baseball book called 72 Stories And if I understood correctly he apparently donated more than 400 baseballs to the Negro Hall of Fame.

Geddy is a widely known Baseball superfan, I think his donation of the baseballs to the museum is a fantastic thing

Concerning the integration of the stats, Do I think Gibson would've batted a lifetime .373 in the majors had the color barrier never existed? No. I do think he would've been a prolific hitter, one of the best to do it, and have a very high batting average? Absolutely.

I liked the idea that the MLB recognized the statistics, I don't love the fact that they changed all of the record books. I think any reasonable baseball fan, that has an appreciation for the history of the game, would consider Cobb the Batting Average Champion. The casual fan probably doesn't even care.
