I agree...Hornsby does have a fair amount of attractive, interesting cards. Here is one of my favorites, his W503 card, which has a great batting image and unique backdrop.

I'm going with the first of his five different m114s (not including caption variations) which was among the very first m114 posters released in December 1916, which qualifies as a "rookie card" by my definition.

Never thought of Hornsby as someone who hit like Clemente, with his back foot off the ground at the moment of contact.
