Imagine running into those at a garage sale? How big of heart attack would you have? Um Sir what are you asking for the binder of tobacco cards?

The OP has posted fifteen times since 2013! He probably won't read these replies until next year!

The color on these is extremely bold. Beautiful images!

Sweet cards. I usually find 1988 Topps or beat up 1970's commons when
I go flea markets or garage sales. lol

The 4 Cobbs look really nice. Wonder where Heritage will go to have them graded? I have a hunch SGC will get the order.

Realistically, there can't possibly be many of these finds left. For decades now, even people who don't follow card collecting one thousandth as much as those here, would have brought an old shoebox full of cards to an auction house or card store. It has been known for some time that old cards can be very valuable, and local news channels have reported on these finds for years. So there is likely on a very small number of card treasures that haven't been uncovered yet. That said, any such find must be exciting, even life-changing, for those involved.

Many of you may remember this:

Could these be reprints? They look too good and square?

I think I'd assume they were reprints since the colors are so bold. It would take a bit to believe what I was seeing was real.

Is it just me, or do so many of those cards look like they have been made smaller? Check all the photos of the cards in the link. The group has so few cards that have larger borders, and a large chunk look on the small side. If this is indeed an original collection, what happened to cards that look fuller like this?

Did Grandpa toss anything that seemed to him to be dangerously oversized?

That's the way any proper collection of cards has looked since the 1970's.

Cobb's look perfectly centered, I'd like to know the size of these cards.

These cards are "normal" sized for t206. kinda scary to imagine how many altered t206's are entombed.
